Starting a Destination Imagination Team
Thank you for considering starting a Destination Imagination team. You're about to begin a creative adventure that will be immensely rewarding for both you and your student team. DI is fun!
We want this to be as easy as possible for you. If at any time you have questions, just use the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page and one of your local DI representatives will answer your question ASAP.
Most new teams are formed as part of a DI program supported by your local school district or as independent teams. If your child attends public or private school, check with the school to see if they already have a DI program. Many school districts in the San Antonio and surrounding areas already have DI programs sponsored or supported by the local school district. If the program isn't recognized by your school district contact us and we can help.
Central Texas DI can provide brochures, media kits and other information that help explain the DI program to school administrators. We're also happy to reach out over the phone or visit in person with administrators and educators within your school district to help them understand the value of DI. Most schools that currently support Destination Imagination in Central Texas pay registration fees and other costs related to the program, so it's helpful to partner with your school district when possible.
DI is not limited to teams affiliated to a public or private school. College, university, community groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H Club, PTA/PTO, home school programs, parent groups, business and government groups are all eligible to form teams to participate in DI.
